From winning first prize in a high school short story contest, to serving as the news editor at my college newspaper, to my first full-time job as a technical writer, I’ve been working with words throughout my life. Clear, persuasive writing has always been important to me, but with the abundance of content available to today’s consumer, it’s now more important than ever.
After spending more than a decade in technical writing – a career where poor wording would send a reader into frustration – I left the corporate world to become a freelancer. Armed with a newly awarded Master of Arts in writing and publishing from Emerson College, I built up a regular stable of national magazines that used my writing, including Family Circle, USA Today, reuters.com, The Christian Science Monitor, and more. I have had over 100 articles published; I’ve even interviewed a few celebrities!
Soon, I began to focus on how writing can help a business stay in touch with their customers. Customers no longer look to ads to decide what product or service to purchase; instead, they educate themselves through the content you provides – your web site, blog, social media channels, or custom publications. I have written content for national companies including Chase, Costco, Expedia, Dunkin’ Donuts Franchise Owners, Animal Planet, and more. I also work with many local businesses, who rely on content marketing to stand apart from larger competitors.
Today more than ever, every business owner needs a strong writer to relay their message and to stay in touch with their customer base. I pride myself on providing the content that helps your business thrive.
